 The Spring Fling Softball Tournament was held on 7 May 2011 at Sacco Softball Complex. There were a total of 17 teams that signed up, 2 Civilian teams and 15 Active Duty teams. The tournament started at 10 am and ran through 10 pm. It was won by a civilian team, Grand Slam consisting of Manhattan players and 172^nd Chem players, 2^nd place went to Active Duty team 1-16 IN Rear D Iron Rangers, and 3^rd place went to Active Duty team 41^st ENG Big Dawgs.

Fort Riley’s Great Escapes Travel and Leisure Expo was held on April 2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Riley’s Conference Center. With more than 50 vendors from surrounding communities and across the state, MWR was able to highlight attractions to visit for a short weekend or a long summer vacation.

The Fort Riley 2010-2011 Intramural Basketball Season started 15 Nov 2010 and ran through 15 Mar 2011.  We had a total of 18 teams. 101^st BSB went through the regular season undefeated with a record of 13 and 0.  The top eight teams made the playoffs which was a single elimination tournament. The tournament was won by 701^st A Co. Second place went to 1^st MAINT. Final score. The 5^th Annual Dodge Ball Tournament was held Feb 5^th 2011 at King Field House. There was concern that the tournament might not happen due to snow storm that shut down Fort Riley from Jan 31 thru Feb 2, 2011. As of COB on Feb 2 we had 2 teams. That quickly changed by COB on Feb 3 we were up to 9 teams, 1 civilian team and 8 active duty teams. The tournament kicked off at 10 am. At 12 we took a break and had a drawing for the IPOD giveaway, which was won by Eric Meldonza from 977^th MPs. The team that won best dress was the Chosen Ones from C Co 2-16 IN; each received a gift card to Freddy’s. It was good to see all the families and friends who came to King to watch the event. The returning champs Axis of Ignorance (the civilian team) was knocked out of the winners bracket by Blue Balls. However, Axis of Ignorance regained themselves and beat Blue Balls in 2 matches to win the tournament. The 3^rd place team was won by Cobra Commander (image 21-25) from 2-16 IN. 2^nd place went to Blue Balls (image 93-105) from 1-28^th IN. 1^st place went to Axis of Ignorance the only civilian team who are the champions for the 3^rd year in a row(image 106-127).  To view more pictures of the Tournament go to  http://www.flickr.com/photos/briggsftriley/sets/72157625987101841/
