Basketball Tournament at King Field House Saturday January 9th. 11 teams
and spectators participated in the event. “Got-em coach” was the team
that took it all home and won first place in the tournament.

    WLC is the first course our young Soldiers receive that prepares them to become a Sergeant.  Leadership skills are the core subjects for this program. As with all military schools, it recognizes excellence!

 The E9  Association was formed not only to support the active duty Military but local agencies that help those in need. During the breakfast, Lowell May presented a check to Junction City ’s Food Pantry. Briggs just wants to say HOOAH and say THANKS to those great Veterans still serving.

Newest Mary E. Walker Award Winners

Briggsauto.com wants to congratulate the newest Dr. Mary E. Walker award winners. Dr. Mary E. Walker is the only women to receive the Medal of Honor. As a Doctor during the Civil War, she was a dedicated and determined woman who achieved very high goals.
Forces Command (FORSCOM) awards volunteers the Mary E. Walker award. The award is given to spouses of soldiers who exemplify volunteerism in there Soldiers unit, organizations and Army installations. The awardees truly are the best of the best!

Briggs extends its congratulations and a saber, a symbol of the cutting edge of our military, which these two great Soldiers represent.  Congratulations go to SSG Nathaniel McClure, DHHB, 1st Infantry Division as NCO of The Quarter and PFC Ryan Vineyard as Soldier of The Quarter. Being selected singles them out as the best Ft. Riley has.  Their performance and positive attitude are key to being selected.  They will compete again for NCO and Soldier of The Year.

Briggsauto.com congratulates the third annual winners of the Ft. Riley Dodge Ball Tournament. Twelve active duty teams and one civilian team participated in the MWR Dodge Ball Tournament sponsored by Briggs Auto Group at King Field House. The gym was charged with excitement from Soldiers, Families, and children. Motivations were yelled across the gym to support the team that was getting beat or the team that the crowd wanted to win. Finally, at the end we had the First Place winners the "Axis of Ignorance" the Junction City civilian team; the coach Martin Baca, team mates; Barry Leon, Brian Hall, Tony Whisenhunt, BJ Powers, and Andrew King. Second Place winners the "DBS’s" the Dodge Ball Champions were from 101st Forward Support Battalion;  their coach was Chad Sublett, team mates; Mauro Reyes, Greg Moglathery, Phillip Hollifield, Stacey Herbert, Eggers Cory and Eric Spenser. The Third Place winners "Globogym" were from B Co. 2/16 Infantry; the coach John Swales, team mates; Jeremy Parr, Josh Hunsucker, Michael Weakley, Mike Figueroa and Jason Jean. What a fun filled day of team work, team pride, and team values!

Briggs was proud to be a part of the three day BOSS Sing-O-Gram (Valentines Day) put on by Ft. Riley BOSS Soldiers. Not only did some special People get Valentines, but   balloons, candy and free car washes.  As you can see by the pictures a great event and a great time was had by all.
